NOT your typical “kennel”

Unlike a traditional dog kennel, our dog boarding prices are all inclusive. This means there is no extra charge for doggy daycare.  A typical Boarding day starts at 6:30 each morning when all dogs go outside for bathroom visits. We then feed our guests with owner provided food .After breakfast we are back outside again for bathroom and play time. All of our overnight guest go into our daycare according to size and personality. We have large indoor and outdoor play areas with a full time daycare attendant. While your pets are in daycare , they will play and interact with other dogs plus have the attention of an attendant to also share in playtime which includes tug of war, ball chasing, and belly rubs. Our guest are taken outside many times throughout the day according to weather conditions. All guests  eat supper around 4:30 then out again for bathroom and play until six then out again for bathroom then to bed in our overnight suites.

Shaggy Hound offers a variety of accommodations, one of which is sure to meet the needs of every four-legged family member.

Accommodations will be selected by our staff for your pet based upon his/her individual needs, personality, and current availability. Every accommodation at Shaggy Hound comes complete with all the amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel including room service, daily cleaning service, climate-controlled fresh air system, and comfortable beds. At Shaggy Hound we do everything in our power to make sure our guests are as relaxed and as comfortable as possible. In addition to what we provide, you are welcome to bring your pet’s own “special” things — whatever you believe will enhance your pet’s stay. However, please do not bring any item that cannot be washed in hot water or that is of sentimental value.

The Schedule

Drop off for Boarding during the week is anytime from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although we prefer that you drop your dog off during the morning or early afternoon. This allows your pet to have time to settle in at Shaggy Hound and make new friends. On weekends and holidays drop off and pick up is 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you need other arrangements , please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule.
