NOT your typical “kennel”

Unlike a traditional dog kennel, our dog boarding prices are all inclusive. This means there is no extra charge for doggy daycare. A typical Boarding day starts at 6:30 each morning with some outside time while breakfast is being prepared. Guests are fed owner provided food, morning meds are administered if needed then they are outside again.

All of our overnight guests mix in with our daycare according to size and personality. We have large indoor and outdoor play areas with full time daycare attendants. While your pets are in daycare, they will play and interact with other dogs plus have the attention of an attendant. Playtime includes tug of war, ball chasing, and lots of belly rubs. Our guests are taken outside many times throughout the day according to weather conditions. All guests eat supper around 4:30 then out again for bathroom and a little more play time before settling into their suites.

Shaggy Hound offers a variety of accommodations, one of which is sure to meet the needs of every four-legged family member.

Accommodations will be selected by our staff for your pet based upon his/her individual needs, personality, and current availability. At Shaggy Hound we do everything in our power to make sure our guests are as relaxed and as comfortable as possible. In addition to what we provide, you are welcome to bring your pet’s own special blanket. However, please do not bring any toys or bowls. We are happy to provide slow feeders and inverted bowls if needed.

The Schedule

Drop off for Boarding during the week is anytime from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although we prefer that you drop your dog off during the morning or early afternoon. This allows your pet to have time to settle in at Shaggy Hound and make new friends. On weekends and holidays drop off and pick up is 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you need other arrangements, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule.
